Senior WooCommerce / VueJS - Contractor Position
Salve is seeking an experienced WooCommerce engineer to join our growing team as we expand our unique offering in the cannabis industry. You will help to maintain and develop our custom Wordpress plugin, debug existing deployments and work with our talented e-commerce team to provide a superior shopping experience to cannabis customers.

Job Responsibilities
Develop and sustain a bespoke WooCommerce plugin that facilitates integrations with external applications.
Act as the primary troubleshooter for any issues arising with the WooCommerce plugin, swiftly addressing and resolving bugs.
Support front-end development for headless applications using VueJS and TypeScript.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to conceptualize, design, and deploy new features.
Guarantee the creation of reliable, secure, and scalable code that adheres to best practices for maintainability.
Conduct thorough troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of the core product software to optimize performance and functionality.
Requirements
Proven software development experience in PHP with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
At least 5 years of experience with WordPress and WooCommerce, including custom theme and plugin development.
Proficient in MVC frameworks with a deep understanding of MVC design patterns.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Proficient in RESTful API integration and development
Familiarity with MySQL query writing and optimization
MUST reside between UTC-4 (EST) & UTC-7 (PST) Time Zones
Desired Skills
Experience with GraphQL integration and development.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, VueJS).
Has experience and understanding of MVC frameworks, especially Laravel
Phenomenal organizational and English communication skills
Experience with WP queuing and background processing methods
Rate and Time
We are currently looking for contract developers but with the potential for long-term employment if desirable and if you’re a good fit with our team.
Contractor Rate: $40 - $50/hr
Contract Period: 0 - 120 Days

Senior Full-Stack Engineer
Salve is seeking an experienced full-stack engineer, with strong back-end skills, to join our growing team as we expand our unique offering in the cannabis industry. You will help to maintain and develop features within our platform, work with various integrations and expand our platform API. Our team currently utilizes PHP 8, Laravel, MySQL, Vue, InertiaJS and Tailwind for these areas of development.

What Your Job Will Include
As a Salve engineer, you will:
Develop and maintain platform features used by managers and staff.
Expand the platform API.
Help customer support to diagnose technical issues and fix bugs.
Aid in performance improvements, devops and third-party integrations.
Work with the existing team to help plan and architect solutions.
Take ownership of new features and pieces of development.
Write readable, well-tested code.
Help to review other team members’ code.
Bring ideas that will help improve the existing codebase and team processes.

Required Skills
Extensive experience working with PHP (7+) and Laravel.
Solid understanding of MySQL and experience writing complex queries.
Understanding of caching and queuing in large systems.
Experience writing modern JS, HTML, and CSS.
Experience with Vue.
Familiarity with Git and Github.
Strong debugging skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and improve application and query performance.
Experience writing well tested code.
Experience integrating with third-party API’s.
Preferred Skills
Experience using Tailwind and PostCSS (or similar).
Experience with Inertia.js.
Familiarity with design patterns.
Familiarity with domain-driven design and single-action classes.
Experience working with DTO’s (especially Spatie’s Laravel Data package).
Nice-to-Haves
Familiarity with Wordpress and WooCommerce.
